Mobile Developer

Build and ship mobile apps for clients across industries — from concept to live on the App Store and Play Store.

About Ontwikkelaars

Ontwikkelaars delivers software for clients with high expectations. Mobile apps are a growing part of our offering, and we're looking for someone who doesn't just build — they take ownership of the entire mobile experience, from UX to release.

The role

As a Mobile Developer, you build apps that people use every day. You work in React Native or native iOS/Android depending on the project. You contribute to the technical approach, align with designers and backend engineers, and make sure every release goes smoothly — including App Store and Play Store submissions.

What you'll do

  • Build cross-platform or native mobile apps for clients across diverse industries
  • Collaborate with backend teams to implement API integrations
  • Optimize performance, load times, and memory usage on mobile devices
  • Manage app releases, versioning, and deployment through the stores
  • Write automated tests and participate in code reviews

What you bring

  • At least 3 years of experience with React Native or native iOS/Android (Swift/Kotlin)
  • A proven track record: at least one published app in the App Store or Play Store
  • Knowledge of mobile performance patterns, offline-first design, and push notifications
  • Experience with REST API integrations and authentication flows
  • Bonus: experience with Expo, Fastlane, or CI/CD for mobile builds

What we offer

  • Salary: €4,000–€6,000 per month, depending on experience
  • Hardware budget: €1,500 at start — including test devices as needed
  • Learning budget: €1,000 per year for courses and conferences
  • 25 vacation days
  • Fully remote with flexible hours

How to apply

Send your CV and a link to apps you've built (App Store or Play Store) to careers@ontwikkelaars.nl. Tell us briefly about the most challenging technical decision in that project.
